Technomash BIG JSC starts the
construction of photovoltaic park near Sliven
|
The terrain with total area of
93 decares, is located in the Thracian lowlands,
where are typical the open areas with low horizons
and absence of shading by mountains or hill in south
direction.
The whole free area is possible to be utilized for
installation of PV modules and it is possible to
build a photovoltaic power plant with capacity of
4,784 MWp.
The location, the plain land and the orientation of
the area allow easy construction and easy
maintenance of photovoltaic park with high capacity. |

The construction permit is
already obtained, as well as the final contract for grid
connection to the Electricity Distribution Grid. The
construction of the plant is expected be completed by November
2011.
The assessment of the solar potential in this position for
construction of photovoltaic park is made on the basis of
on-ground meteorological information for the region during
the period 1981-2002, as well as on the basis of satellite
information by the European satellite program - HelioClim.
The astronomical coordinates show that the optimal angle of
35-36° for inclination of the active surface of the solar
generator towards the horizon.
The average annual amount of solar radiation reaching the
land surface on a horizontal plain is 1365 kWh/m2, and in
the modules plain 1463 kWh/m2. The average annual daily
environment temperature in the area reaches 13.5 °С .
The global warming during the last years moves the peak
values of environment temperature to 42-45 °С during the
summer months.
In particular, having in mind the local climate during the
winter season, it is deemed that using of tracking systems
is not suitable because of the high risk factor. For the
planned PV installation the most appropriate arrangement of
the PV modules in on fixed (static) constructions with
active surface inclined to the South.
The preliminary computer modeling of the solar generator
behavior shows that the predicted annual energy yield
supplied to the electricity system at the set climate
conditions should exceed 3451 MWh/per annum.
The specifics of the activities in the region of the
investment are favorable for the preservation of the fauna.
These activities do not involve any impacts which would
cause damages on the populations of the species and formed
zoocoenosis.
The activities for the installation construction include
only unpacking and installation of light details without wet
processes. They do not require working area and cannot be
source of pollution for neighbor areas. The building of
technological roads is not required because there is such
road reaching the area borders. Because of the relatively
short time for construction there are not expected heavy
technical pollution – oils and aerosols, causing serious and
permanent damages of habitats. The location of the project,
the contents of the flora and the specific activities do not
suppose fragmentation pf animal species populations. This is
why there is no reasonable cause for disturbance of animals
or birds or for short term stressing factors.
