The first step when designing a wind park is connected with the assessment of the chosen site location.

This is a complex process, including wind audit, providing and analyzing data for availability, characteristics and other parameters of the wind flow at the determined place.
 

 

For most accurate selection the three-dimensional analysis is applied, because it is necessary to account for the most optimal concurrence between the wind range and the highest efficiency of the relevant turbine for this wind range.

This data is necessary for determination of the efficiency of the selected location – this is the base for determining the quantity of produced energy for one year and the actual prime cost of the energy per 1 kW.

When designing a wind park, except for the technical characteristics of the relevant turbines, different interdependence factors are taken into consideration in order to determine the type, number and the exact location of each of them. This is only one of the steps for calculation of the possibilities for optimal return of the investment and consequently for all components and approaches for preparation, financing and realization of the relevant project.

The parameters of the project are defined according to the purposes for which the generated energy shall be used, if it would be necessary reservation of the electricity supply by another energy source and other factors.

A basic component is the equipment for transformation of the wind force in energy – wind turbine generator. Of significant importance is the selection of optimal capacity of each equipment, as well as the most appropriate producer. A preliminary Plan of the working process is prepared according to the type of the equipment, the number, availability and delivery conditions, which is necessary for planning and assuring special teams, equipment and logistics for the installation.

Parts of the whole design are the architectural, construction, electro-technical and geodesic plans. The wind energy projects cannot be started without preliminary acquired permits and preliminary contracts.
